Confirmed date  Aug 4  ( Saturday) Annie's Dash
3rd Annual Memorial Motorcycle Rally Fundraiser to Benefit Cancer Research
Vendors are Welcome.  Contact us at vendors@anniesdash.com for more information.

Outlaw BBQ, Route 1, Foxboro, Mass.
Registration 8 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
$20.00/pp

A group of friends of the late Anne LaRosa are organizing a memorial motorcycle rally, scheduled for Saturday, August 4, 2007 beginning and ending at the Outlaw B-B-Q in Foxboro. This is an event with three goals: to honor Annie’s memory, to benefit the Gynecologic Oncology Research Fund at Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center (where Annie was treated) and to raise awareness about ovarian cancer.

In the Fall of 2003, Annie was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. At 46, Annie had never been sick a day in her life, and now she had to have surgery, followed by multiple cycles of chemotherapy which continued until 2005. Annie fought a long and brave battle but she succumbed to this disease and passed away, surrounded by friends and family, on September 25, 2005, at only 48 years of age.

Please join us at the Outlaw B-B-Q, Route 1, Foxboro, Massachusetts on August 4, 2007 (rain date August 18, 2007). The motorcycles will begin assembling at 8:00 a.m. through 10:00 a.m. When the bikes return, there will be a pig/chicken roast, with all the “fixins,” along with raffles, auctions, vendors, biker games and live bands to entertain you. The cost is $20.00 per person.   But, you don't have to ride to join us.  Come and show your support and have a great time!!!

If you can’t join us and prefer to simply make a donation, please make out your check to "Annie’s Dash" and mail it to: Annie’s Dash, P.O. Box 86, Walpole, Massachusetts, 02081. Also, if you would like to donate an item or gift certificate for our raffles and/or auctions, please contact me and we can make arrangements to pick up the donation.

All profits from Annie’s Dash are being donated, in her name and memory, to Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Gynecologic Oncology Research Fund and are, therefore, tax-deductible.

Please support this event - ovarian cancer is a killer. Funding is needed to improve our ability to diagnose this disease at an earlier stage. Additionally, we need to teach women to be more aware of the disease’s symptoms, and to be proactive in getting tested and treated early.

Our Run has been endorsed by Dr. Michael A. Steller, Annie’s physician and Director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology of Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center.

Thank you for your interest and support, and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at info@anniesdash.com  You may also visit our website at www.AnniesDash.com.

On February 18, 2006, The Gilchrest family suffered a great loss.
David Gilchrest became suddenly ill with pneumonia and at the considerably
young age of 41 departed his family and friends.

Dave left behind his wife Karen and three beloved children, Connor 7, Erin 9,
Kyle 15 as well as his loving mother Ellie, his only sister Sheila and three
brothers Brendon, Mike and Rich. Apart from his immediate family he also left
behind his caring in-laws and tons of close friends.

Dave's love for speed, high performance cars, big trucks and motorcycles gave
us this idea for honoring his memory.

Since year 2000, Riders helping Riders via “Nelson’s Ride” and the MMSF, Inc., over $85,000 has been donated to families of Essex County riders seriously injured or killed while riding a motorcycle.  We don’t ask how the accident happened, just how we can help.

To help offset the costs of putting on this annual Event, we conduct a Raffle, limited to 1,000 tickets at $20 each.  This year, we will have FIVE prizes.  Need not be present to win.  This year’s prizes:
  • 1) a 42” color TV, with delivery and installation (valued up to $2,000);

  • 2) a book of 100 - $10 Red Sox Lottery scratch tickets (valued $1,000 plus what you might win);

  • 3) $400 cash;

  • 4) $100 cash; and

  • 5) your $20 back !

Click here to order your raffle tickets.  The more tickets you buy, the more opportunity to winner.  GREAT ODDS!  You can read the official “Rules” of the Raffle on our raffle page.  The drawing will be Sunday, August 26th after Nelson's Ride at Salisbury Beach.

If you’ve been to one of the seven prior Nelson’s Ride Events, you know how special it is.  If you haven’t been – this is the Essex County Event to attend. (See photos from Nelson's Ride 2007, and check out video clips from the ride, the games, and more!)  All donations go into our pool of funds to help reduce accidents and injuries via motorcycle awareness, and to donate to Essex County families of riders in need, immediately after an accident for household expenses.

  • 1) a 42” color TV, with delivery and installation (valued up to $2,000);

  • 2) a book of 100 - $10 Red Sox Lottery scratch tickets (valued $1,000 plus what you might win);

  • 3) $400 cash;
