Confirmed date  July 1  (Sunday) ECBC Teddy Bear Run
Teddy Bear Charity Run

Join us in a motorcycle run to support the RI Children¡¦s Advocacy Center! (A program of Day One, The Sexual Assault and Trauma Resource Center)

The RI Children's Advocacy Center addresses the need to reduce the trauma experienced by children once a disclosure of sexual or severe physical abuse has been made. The center offers a child-friendly atmosphere in which a child can be interviewed by one person while others involved in the investigation can observe and participate through a one-way mirror or a television monitor.

Over 200 children receive services through the RI Children¡¦s Advocacy Center each year.
Every child receives a teddy bear following his/her first visit to the center. The teddy bear is meant to commend children for their courage, while encouraging, empowering and offering comfort through their difficult time.

Registration for this run begins at the Blackstone River Visitor Center located on 295N Lincoln RI from 9:30am to 11:30am. The cost of this run is $15 per person and includes; live entertainment, vendors, kid¡¦s tent & the ride.

This is an open ride for all makes, models & genders. Rain or Shine. The hour long ride will leave the Visitor Center at noon.

We will end at Club Gallery located at 150 Point Street, Providence RI were we will present our teddy bears and cash donations to the Day One staff. Club Gallery will be open and offering food, beverages and shelter.

If you can not join the ride you are welcome to join us at Club Gallery starting at 1pm for a cost of $5 per person. Please present new bears or your cash donation to an East Coast Biker Chicks or Day One staff member:

Enjoy motorcycling in the beautiful Mad River Valley in central Vermont. The valley is home to numerous scenic routes ideal for motorcycling, including Routes 17 & 100, considered by many to be two of the premiere motorcycling roads in the U.S.

Home to two world-class ski areas, the valley offers numerous Bed & Breakfasts, motels and restaurants to suit every budget. Don't miss it!

A HUGE thank you goes out to the many, many people that show up (sometimes at the last minute) to help in any way; the many contributions of gift certificates, food from restaurants, man power, volunteer time, and the patience of all that understood the sometimes unorganization of holding a first- time event. We appreciate all involved and with your help again, Mad Rally 2007 can only get bigger and BETTER!
