24 (Saturday) Ray's
Memorial Blanket Run
Rain-or-shine we'll
get the blankets to those that need them
This run is to support the Taunton homeless and those who need
a warm
blanket. Weather hurts in more ways than one! Ray was jokingly called the
Mayer
of the Homeless in Taunton because he had next to nothing but shared all
he
had. He died August 18th, 2007.
Staging is between 11am and 12pm in the Halifax Wal-Mart parking lot on
routes
106 & 58. We'll travel down route 58 to route 44, then straight into
Taunton.
All riders are asked to donate one blanket per bike (and any other item
that'll
keep someone warm this winter). The ride will end up at a location near
Taunton
center where we'll have some hot coffee. It's November and yeah it's cold.
The
homeless know this all too well.
This run is sponsored by the Loyal Sons Motorcycle Club.
Questions? Call Soapy 508-264-6092
or e-mail
jsilvia@comcounseling.org
If there is inclimate weather, come on your bike, in your car, truck, or
any other vehicle. The homeless still need to stay warm. |
