Vermont Rally The
first notion of The Vermont Rally came to Dirk Nakazawa eight months ago.
While the name has changed from The Rutland Rally to The Vermont Rally
since that initial conceptual enlightenment, the basic tenant, to create
an event the region could "rally" around, has not. Neither has Dirk's
tireless work on the project.
Envisioned between Americade and Laconia both chronologically and
geographically, The Vermont Rally aims to be a must stop for those making
the trek between the two each year while at the same time providing
visiting area guests and locals with
quality Vermont grown entertainment, arts and crafts, and services.
Motorcycle related activities will be ongoing throughout the weekend as
will live music featuring some of the best bands in Vermont. Vermont
vendors will offer a range of goods and services. There is plenty more
being planned, and we will continually update this website to reflect that
which we can publicly release at any given time.
One of the main goals of the project is to foster community. As such, this
is a family friendly event. This is Vermont after all... We wish to create
an atmosphere where we can all just let our hair down and have fun! For more info contact: Dirk Nakazawa (802) 747-8989 or

The Martini Run
The Martini Run was started June of 2001 to keep steadfast, the memory
of Tom Martini who lost his battle with cancer on April 13, 2000 at the
young age of 57. The list of volunteers has grown from 1 - 4 dozen
over the years and our total contribution to the foundation has topped
over $41,000!!!
The starting location is T. Martini & Son Floor Covering, a business
started by Tom Martini in 1985. The ending location is the VFW, 30
Central St. Abington, MA.
Proceeds from the run benefit The Cam Neely Foundation which offers a
home away from home for families of patients receiving treatment at the
Tufts-New England Medical Center. It makes the uncomfortable and
painful process a little easier when you can retreat to your own room
set up as a studio apartment. There are wonderful common areas for
dining, cooking and playrooms for youngsters that offer a great
opportunity for people to meet others with similar treatments.
Motorcycle riding was a great part of Tom Martini's life and there could
be no better way to celebrate his life than to host this event year
after year!! |
