(Sunday) Give
Back Ride to Support Mommies Mobil Meals
Registration is at 9:00am at Harbor Autobody in
Townsend, MA.
Kickstands up at 10:00am.
The 70 mile ride departs Townsend, MA for Southern New Hampshire, then
ending back in Townsend at Bailey's Bar and Grille. Rain date TBD.
All motorcyclists are welcome.
$20 donation per rider, $10 per passenger.
100% of the proceeds go towards supporting Mommies Mobil Meal's ongoing
efforts in assisting families in our community.
ABOUT MOMMIES MOBIL MEALS.... This group of
women (last count was 72 members, from their website) donate their time to
assist a family with ready made, home cooked meals. A “mommy” takes an
evening and drops off a dish to the nominated family. Reasons for
nominations have varied from illness or ailment, a birth or death in the
family, as a thank you, a pick-me-up, or simply just a night off from
cooking. Note - The group also delivers baked goods to the new Senior
Center, monthly, for BINGO. The “Need to Feed” doesn’t end with meals
alone. Money raised (from within the group itself) is used to purchase
gift cards to local shops and supermarkets for families that have
succumbed to home disaster. Additionally, gas cards and parking passes to
area hospitals have been given to families visiting loved ones in the
hospital. |
