Innkeepers embrace the motorcycle community.

Innkeepers Carina & Magnus Thorsson of the Gray Ghost Inn of West Dover welcome our fellow motorcycle riders to the green mountains and country roads of Vermont. Carina and Magnus have ridden and driven thousands of miles of back country roads, curvy hills and river flats to create route maps, marking noted points of interest for your enjoyment. They have written detailed descriptions of suggested rides of various lengths and intrigues. Who knows what you might see!

Some of the attractions for these rides include: museums, BBQ served in an old, blue school bus, covered bridges, monuments, memorials, places of natural beauty and Vermont-made wonders, and of course… some of the best classic diners you will ever eat in.

The Thorssons have driven and ridden the suggested rides and noted motorcycle-specific points of interest and riding concerns. Magnus has even gone to other towns to sweep their covered bridges to ensure safe passage. “Unexpected gravel on wood is not a safe surface for riding,” he says. His recommendations for food and sightseeing stops can be trusted because Magnus himself has eaten at all of the meal stops recommended.

Magnus and Carina have been tour guiding in Vermont for seven years. They are dedicated to providing you with an unforgettable Vermont ride-and-stay experience.

The Gray Ghost Inn hosts twenty-six rooms, a 900-gallon in-ground, outdoor hot tub, in-ground pool, a well-used fire pit, and accommodations for pool playing, Foosball and general lounging. Full, hearty, breakfasts every day, and dinners to fit your needs are only some of the attractions of the Gray Ghost Inn. The Inn is located within walking distance of five bars and restaurants and a short drive from the Maple Leaf, our local brew pub.

The Gray Ghost Inn is located in the Green Mountains, on scenic Route 100 in southern Vermont. We are scenically located between the New York Adirondacks to the west, the Berkshires of Massachusetts to the south and the White Mountains of New Hampshire to the east.

Magnus Thorsson has begun working with several interested parties on utilizing Mount Snow and the Deerfield Valley as a venue for motorcycle rallies. The resort area lends itself well to such an event and the motorcycling landscape could not be better.
