The ZRX Owners Association SNEER lodge (Southern New England Rex Riders.. go places eat things!) are going to do a ride up Mt Washington on 6/28.Over on our message board we have a rather lengthly thread on the topic, and from what I have read from guys that have done it on the ZRX ( a 520 pound bike) it can get a bit hairy on the way down. One post has mention of a guy that was 2 up on a HD and he was not having a good time on the trip down.here is a sampling...i remember about 1/2 to 2/3 of the road is pavement, then gravel/hard pack dirt the top 1/3rd, it's that part that gets hairy/scary......the Rex ran perfect both ways, both FI harleys did too - 46 degrees at the top that day, and 75 at the basemy brother was freaked by the time he got to the top with our friend Toni on the back of his NightTrain, and I had to give the little lady the ride back down. tough duty, but someone had to do it.....Just so you know it will be COLD up there, I don't care if it is 90 at the base if it's 50 up top you'll be lucky...and wind... be prepared it is a long way down ya know. Pack winter/fall riding gear for you and the passenger.
