The Z-Rex mods sound interesting, I liked the way my black/polished KZ1000 engine looked. My Z1000 has the new style engine paint like your Zrex. I like the old look better. (then again I look a bit old myself) There's a lot of folks on the Z1000 boards who are adapting Ninja parts to fit the Z (quite a few ZX6/636 parts can adapt to it)-------I will suggest a tire for you, the Michelin PilotRoad. The Z comes stock w/ Bridgestone Battleaxe BTO12/19 skins. Sport tires they handle great but wore out like they were made of balsa. 5,000 miles was about all you were gonna get from those. I switched to the PilotRoads and have been getting 2 full seasons out of a set. Never had a slip-out and I do like to honk around the backroad corners some. They also do much better than the sport tires in the wet and on loose sand and crap. Two thumbs up.---------As far as the brakes on the FLH, I used to have a 1500 Drifter and the brakes on that were pretty whimpy. A set of EBC brand HH compound pads made a really noticable improvement. The HH compound is going to be harder on the rotors, but the trade off is worth it to me. HD rotors are probably not all that expensive or hard to find anyway and they aren't going to wear out THAT fast. My 2cnts..Good luck.
