Date: December 12, 2007

American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) members will be receiving their American Motorcyclist January magazine within the next week, and official ballots for voting for the open/vacant "members seat" for the Northeast Region will be within that issue.

AMA members in good standing since September 1, 2007 - in the 13-states that make up the Northeast Region - will elect a Board Member that will help set the policy and direction of the AMA over the next three years.

I, Paul W. Cote, of Massachusetts, am one of the candidates on the ballot and I would appreciate everyone voting for me. I am currently the Director of Government Relations with the Mass Motorcycle Association; an AMA Eagle, Community Council Leader, and one of two road riding delegates to the AMA Congress from the New England District. I believe I'm the "rights" person for this position and will be a "members' member" on the AMA Board.

Only official ballots from the magazine can be used. The ballots are pre-addressed and pre-stamped for returning. All you have to do is pull it out of the magazine, vote, and mail it in. It goes to an accounting firm (not the AMA) to tally the results. The deadline to vote is January 15, 2008.

My friend Rick Gleason of ABATE PAC of MA - set up a web site - to help those in other states who might not know me - to get an idea of where I've been and where I'm coming from. Please see www.AMANERegion.com.

AMA Members (especially Life and Associate members) who do not receive the American Motorcyclist Magazine can go to this www.AMANERegion.com web site for contact information to request an official ballot to be mailed to them.

The www.AMANERegion.com web site also has a section where I'm asking you for your ideas - tell me what you like and dislike about the AMA. And how we can change the AMA to make it better and more responsive to members. Its YOUR organization. I will carry your recommendations and feedback to the AMA.

Please forward this message to all riders, clubs, groups, organizations and associations on your lists who might be AMA Members and live in the six (6) New England States, NY, NJ, DE, MD, PA, WV, and OH.
